Advanced Exergy Analysis of Waste-Based District Heating Options through Case Studies

چکیده

The heating of the buildings, together with domestic hot water generation, is responsible for half total generated energy, which consumes final energy demand. Meanwhile, district systems are a powerful option to meet this demand, their significant potential and experience accumulated over many years. work described here deals conventional advanced exergy performance assessments system, using four different waste heat sources by exhaust gas potentials selected plants (municipal solid cogeneration, thermal power, wastewater treatment, cement production), real-time data group based on numerical investigations. simulated results analysis revealed that priority should be given exchanger (HE)-I, efficiency values from 0.39 0.58, followed HE-II pump those 0.48 0.78 0.81 0.82, respectively. On other hand, indicated destruction was mostly avoidable (78.32–78.56%) unavoidable exchangers (66.61–97.13%). determined mainly originated component itself (endogenous), (97.50–99.45%) (69.80–91.97%). When implementation considered, functional entire system obtained linearly inversely proportional pipeline length average ambient temperature,

Energy and Exergy Analysis of District Heating Systems

The concept of exergy is defined and applied to district heating systems. The influence from different reference state conditions and system boundaries are explained in some detail. The aim is to show the simplicity and value of using the concept of exergy when analyzing district heating processes. The exergy factor is introduced and applied for a number of Swedish and Danish district heating s...

Mapping Energy and Exergy Flows of District Heating in Sweden

District heating has been available in Sweden since the 1950s and used more than half of the total energy use in dwelling and no-residential premises in 2013. Energy and exergy efficient conversion and energy resources are key factors to reduce the environmental impact. It is important to understand energy and exergy flows from both the supply and demand sides. The exergy method is also a usefu...

Exergy And Energy Analysis Of Waste Heat Recovery Options For Cooling Capacity Production

Electricity production in Lebanon stands at around 1.5 GW while the demand exceeds 2.5 GW at peak times and peak cooling demands, resulting in rationing cuts from between 3 to 20 hours a day which is the worst performance in the Middle East. Due to the country energy shortfall, a large number of small-scale backup generators is installed to address the electric and cooling needs. The proliferat...

A System Perspective on District Heating and Waste Incineration

Energy recovery by waste incineration has a double function as waste treatment method and supplier of electricity and/or heat, thereby linking the systems of energy and waste management. Both systems are undergoing great changes, mainly due to new regulations. Important regulations within waste management in Sweden are a ban on landfill of combustible waste and organic waste, and a tax on landf...
